The Vervante Bookstore gives your work a real product page, a working checkout, and a warehouse behind it. You send people the link. We do the rest.
Most authors and creators do not want to become store operators. They want to finish the book, tell their audience about it, and have copies arrive at the right doors. The Vervante Bookstore exists for exactly that. It is a public catalog, live and open to buyers, where your product sits alongside work from other independent creators.
Building a storefront is the easy part. Keeping one running is the part nobody warns you about.
| On your own | In the Vervante Bookstore |
|---|---|
| A monthly platform subscription, a theme, and someone to maintain both | No platform to buy and nothing to maintain |
| A payment gateway, merchant account, and responsibility for card security | We process the payment |
| Registering, collecting, and remitting sales tax in every state you sell into | We calculate, collect, and remit it |
| Stock counts that have to stay in sync with what is really on the shelf | Your inventory is the inventory, because it is in our building |
| Boxes, labels, postage, and a trip to the post office for every order | We pick, pack, and ship each order as it comes in |
| Reprinting when you sell out, and guessing how much to reprint | Print on demand, or hold stock with us and we draw from it |
Buyers pay shipping at checkout.
Selling through a large retail marketplace usually means giving up the two things that matter most to an independent creator: the relationship and the pricing.
Vervante takes a 10 percent commission plus a flat $2.50 fee on each order, no matter how many items it contains, and you cover the cost to print. Worked examples and a calculator you can run your own numbers through are on the Bookstore details page.
It is worth being straight about this, because the Bookstore is not the answer for everyone.
In those cases the better answer is your own cart with Vervante behind it, and we are not limited to a short list of platforms. We work with any shopping cart. Some, like Shopify, WooCommerce, and GoHighLevel, have a ready-made connection and setup instructions waiting for you. Anything else connects through our order API or our email order parser. Either way, orders from your store come straight to our warehouse and ship the same way. Tell us what you are running and we will tell you how it connects.
You send us print-ready files, or we produce the item for you if we are already printing it. We build the product page, add it to the catalog, and give you the URL. From there your only job is telling people it exists.
Vervante has been printing and shipping for authors, coaches, speakers, and educators for over 25 years, out of our own facility in Utah.
Whatever stage you are at, here is where to start.
