This redbook explains how to integrate Lotus Domino for S/390 R4.5 with existing
S/390 enterprise applications and data bases by writing connector code. A
separate redbook covering standard connector products is planned.

Many organizations want to use the application development, end-user and Web
features of Lotus Notes, but need to access traditional S/390 applications and data.

Other organizations want to use Notes to provide a new GUI or Web front-end to
existing applications.

This redbook discusses how to connect Notes applications running on a S/390
server with existing DB2, CICS, IMS, MQSeries and batch applications. We
discuss some basic approaches to writing connector code. We also provide an
overview of how the connector products will enable you to connect a Domino server
on S/390 to other applications.
