Measuring Lotus Notes Response Times with Tivoli's ARM Agents
IBM Redbooks
ADD TO CART
This redbook shows you how to measure response times in Lotus Notes.
The measurements are made using Tivoli's Application Response Measurement (ARM) response time agents. In order to use these agents with Lotus Notes, you will need to use the CallBuilder code that is available as part of the Tivoli Management Module for Notes.
The book explains what the CallBuilder is, how to install it, and how you can use it from Notes.
We have included some working examples, which you can copy, and then modify to suit your environment. This should enable you to start measuring response times very quickly.
If any of the following apply to you, then you should read this book: oYou want to measure response times for Lotus Notes applications.
* You want to record Notes application availability, or account for usage.
* Your end-user applications are being migrated to Lotus Notes, maybe from a mainframe system where you were making response time measurements.
* You want to know what the Notes CallBuilders for ARM are.
