This redbook is unique in its detailed coverage of IBM 2220 Nways
Broadband Switch (Nways Switch) networking products and its
interoperability with the IBM 973x multiplexers (also known as IDNXs).

The IDNX family includes the 9733, 9736, and 9739. This document
focuses on interfacing various IDNX trunks and ports with the 2220
Nways BroadBand Switch. It provides IDNX and Nways 2220 information
on configurations, protocols, interfaces, and migration scenarios
tested in the ITSO lab.

At the time this edition was written, there was no testing with the
TRK-3. This edition does not cover interoperability from a network
management standpoint.

This document was written for customers and IBMers who will design and
implement Nways 2220 networks in an existing or new IDNX environment.

Some knowledge of IDNX and Nways 2220 network design, configuration, and
installation is assumed.
