I begin writing poetry in 2015. At that time I used poetry as a form of therapy. It was never my intention to write a poetry book. After writing for a couple years I decided to share my poems in the form of a Chapbook. I am still amazed that I had enough poems that related to one another to create 2 actual stories. Poems that were written months and years apart fit together like a puzzle. It is as if I was preparing to publish the book all along and didn't know it.Turning Pain into Poetry shares a glimpse of how I battled and overcame anxiety and panic attacks. It touches on the ups, downs, highs and lows of a specific part of my life.Molly explores different stages of relationships. The ins and outs of various situations one may experience, rather it be a friendship or an intimate relationship. There is an interactive journaling section for the reader. Maybe you've experienced a "Tug a War" between your head and heart or you've had that "Special Friend". In this section you are encouraged to write whatever your heart desires. It is my hope that I inspire, motivate and encourage someone else. Maybe it's to publish your first book, move out of your own way, overcome an obstacle or go after your dreams.I find myself occasionally reading my poems over and over. I hope you enjoy reading my book as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
