I have had dozens of jobs in a variety of different fields. I wrote The Get Ready to Work Workbook™ because I knew there were people who had the ability to perform tasks needed on the job, but they didn't have the confidence and information necessary to successfully navigate the interview process. That meant they could not get through the one thing keeping them from the job they wanted, the interview.

Dr. Lisa Summerour is founder of the online educational platform, Live Empowered Lead U. As a coach and facilitator, she supports clients in making transformative changes in their lives through self-paced learning, individual and group coaching, and live events.


She is an author, coach, facilitator, and speaker who has presented to audiences internationally. She wrote the Get Ready to Work Workbook™ to eliminate the one barrier that often keeps many qualified individuals from being offered the position they desire - that is, the preparation and knowledge needed to successfully navigate the interview process.

Her academic achievements include a B.A. in Sociology from Trenton State University, a master’s in management from Indiana Wesleyan University, a master’s in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University, and a Doctor of Education from Olivet Nazarene University. She is qualified to administer the IDI and certified to administer Equitable Leader Assessments (ELA) debriefs and coaching. She is also an accredited Breakup and Divorce Coach Master Practitioner.

Drawing inspiration from traveling, reading, DIY projects, writing, and sewing, Dr. Lisa embodies positive change, life-long learning, and the belief that all things are possible with God.
