Dynamic Subarea and APPN Management Using NetView V3R1

This document describes the subarea and APPN management functions
that were added to NetView Version 3 for MVS/ESA. This includes
NetView's ability to dynamically obtain the topology and status
of both subarea and APPN resources from a VTAM with the topology
agent support (V4R3), and to update the topology and status as it
changes. This document also describes enhancements made to the
NetView Graphic Monitor Facility (NGMF), GMFHS, RODM, hardware
monitor, and the session monitor.

This document explains how to install and use these new functions,
as well as how they may be customized.

This document is intended for system programmers, network analysts,
and network operators. Some knowledge of the installation and
operation of NetView Version 2 is required. In addition, some
knowledge of NGMF, SNA networking, and RODM is assumed.
