People Who Lack Empathy - Single Pack (DVD, CD, TS)

To have empathy means to be able to put yourself into somebody else’s shoes; to be able to actually see things from their perspective and see and understand why a person might be feeling something. So, if they are feeling pain for you to understand why they are feeling that pain. Or if they are feeling happy to be able to understand why they are feeling happy. That is simply the ability to have empathy.
To display empathy means to be able to change your own emotion to be able to share the experience with somebody else who might be having another emotion. So, not only can you see it and understand it, but you can actually experience it with them.
In this one-hour DVD with Audio CD training, Expert Emotional Wealth Counselor Karen Gosling talks about how most people are born with the ability to empathize, although it may not be very well developed. The development of empathy comes very much from upbringing, conditioning, schooling, your family and your life experience. But, it is true that there are some people who are not born with an emotional chip at all. If you don’t have an empathy chip, you can read correctly that somebody is upset but you can’t actually work out why. And this of course impacts greatly on relationships! Your partner might know that you are upset but can’t work out why you are upset and this is difficult because we tend to make assumptions that everybody "gets it".
Karen's training will describe people with Aspergers and Attention Deficit Disorder and how they deal with emotions. But this seminar specifically addresses the mean and nasty personalities of the Narcissist and, perhaps its extreme version, the Sociopath. The DVD and audio mp3 file can be watched or listened to in your own time and at your own pace, in the privacy of your own home. Plus you get the bonus audio transcript to read at your leisure.
