RACF Version 2 Release 2 Installation and Implementation

This document describes two installation and implementation scenarios for
Resource Access Control Facility Version 2 Release 2 Modification 0
(RACF 2.2.0).

The scenarios were based on the installation experiences in a single
MVS image and in a parallel sysplex environment.

This document describes in great detail how the new RACF Remote Sharing
Facility should be implemented and exploited in a local mode environment
as well as in a remote mode environment. It describes step-by-step how
it should be implemented and how the various facilities can be secured.

It provides a detailed description of the APPC/MVS environment that is
used by RRSF to communicate between the various RRSF nodes. It also
gives a step-by-step procedure to implement this APPC network.

In great detail it is described how to secure this APPC network.

The new remove ID utility is discussed. This document describes how this
utility can be used and it shows some of the reports that can be produced
with this utility.

The NetView internal security can be replaced by external security by
using RACF. This document provides an overview of the various NetView
security features that can be controlled by RACF. It also provides a
migration scenario to convert the NetView internal security to the
external security by using RACF.

This document is intended for RACF system programmers, APPC/MVS and VTAM
systems programmers, MVS system programmers, security administrators, and
those who need to plan for and install RACF 2.2.
