LAN Resource Extension and Services/MVS (LANRES/MVS) and LAN Resource
Extension and Services/VM (LANRES/VM) are IBM products which establish
a server environment on the MVS or VM operating system enabling NetWare
clients to access host resources. NetWare clients are unaware of the
host-LAN interaction.

This document provides an overview of the LANRES functions and connectivity
options. Part I of the book focuses on the LANRES installation process
in the MVS, VM and NetWare environments. The second portion of the book
is intended for those who will use LANRES, with a chapter for each of the
LANRES functions. The integration of LANRES into a LAN Office environment
(Lotus Notes and cc:Mail) is also discussed.
