Using LCCM Functions with Servers and Workstations

This redbook will help you install, tailor and configure LANClient Control Manager (LCCM) 2.5. It helps you to integrate LCCM into your current environment, taking into account such considerations as network routers and any DHCP service that you may have. The redbook provides several examples that will help you understand how to deploy new workstations and servers from a centralized LCCM console or from a remote console. This will save you considerable time on individual installations as well as help with the rollout of new releases of code.

Since this release is a Windows-only release, most of the focus is on Windows NT, Windows 98 and Windows 95. There are separate chapters to show how to prepare for and install LCCM V2.5. The deployment of native and non-native applications is shown by example. This deployment can be done for servers, workstations and laptop systems. In addition, examples are provided for updating BIOS, CMOS and network and video drivers.

A separate chapter focuses on all the utility functions that are provided with LCCM V2.5. This new release also implements many wizards that help you use the product. Examples are shown for all the new wizards.
