Sell Direct First. Consider Amazon as a Secondary Channel.

We recommend that your primary marketing and sales efforts point customers to your own website. Selling direct allows you to control the customer experience, process transactions, collect customer data, and grow your email community. That direct relationship is one of your most valuable business assets.

We make this easy. Our fulfillment systems work with any shopping cart, so you can sell from your site while we handle printing, inventory management, and shipping. Our goal is simple: help you sell more products without adding complexity.

Amazon can still be considered as a secondary channel, but there are important limitations. We are no longer able to list new products in Amazon Marketplace under the book category the way we have in the past. Some alternative categories or fulfillment options may be available depending on your product, but they can be restrictive and are not always the best fit.

For that reason, we encourage you to build your business on your own website first, and then explore additional channels where it makes sense for your product and goals.
